Bio
Dougal Wilson is an English director of commercials, music videos and films who studied natural sciences at Durham University and started out as a copywriter before directing his first advert in Edinburgh. His John Lewis Christmas adverts, including Monty the Penguin and Buster the Boxer, became a fixture of British popular culture. His music videos include LCD Soundsystem's Tribulations, Goldfrapp's Happiness and Coldplay's Life in Technicolor ii, which was nominated for a Grammy. Ad Age named him Director of the Year in 2019. He made his feature debut with Paddington in Peru, released in the UK in November 2024.
