Videojam Fest

A film and music festival. First edition, Vienna.

One night across the whole spectrum: short films, music videos, DJ sets. Human curated, start to finish. Sunday 4 October 2026 at Pickwicks in Vienna, the day after Waves Vienna.

What it is

  1. Doors at 19:00.
  2. A block of six short films, about 75 minutes, each introduced before it screens.
  3. Q&A with the directors present.
  4. A music video and video dance showcase, screened as its own block.
  5. The awards.
  6. A DJ set to close.

Around 35 seats.

Pickwicks is a bar in the first district that began life as one of Vienna's first English language video stores, with its own projector and sound.

Call for entries

Two categories: Short Film and Music Video / Video Dance. No submission fee.

Artists and directors entering a music video can also register a channel on Videojam.

What filmmakers can expect

  • Screened from a projector to a live audience.
  • Introduced by name in a programme of six.
  • A Q&A slot if attending in person.
  • Coverage on Videojam's channels before and after.
  • A listing of the selection on this page after 25 September.

Eligibility

  • Your film runs between 3 and 15 minutes.
  • It was completed on or after 1 January 2023.
  • Any language is welcome, with English subtitles.
  • No explicit violence, gore, horror or sexual content.
  • Films that have screened elsewhere are welcome, and so are films already online. Neither counts against you.

Awards

  • A jury awards first, second and third place.
  • A separate jury award goes to the best music video or video dance piece.
  • The audience votes for the Audience Award in the room on the night.
