Bio
Niki Lindroth von Bahr is a Stockholm artist, writer and director who works in stop-motion animation. She studied at the Royal Institute of Art, and her early shorts Tord and Tord (2010) and Bath House (2014) played Berlinale, Sundance and Annecy. Her animated musical The Burden (2017) was in the Directors' Fortnight at Cannes and then won the Cristal for best short at Annecy. She directed a segment of the Netflix anthology The House (2022), which received a BAFTA nomination, and Variety named her one of ten animators to watch in 2019. She has also designed costumes for Fever Ray and David Bowie.
