Bio
Ryan Staake is an American director who works across video, interactive, virtual reality and print, and who founded the design and video practice Pomp&Clout. He studied at Carnegie Mellon University before transferring to Rhode Island School of Design to major in Graphic Design. When Young Thug barely appeared at his shoot for Wyclef Jean, Staake cut a meta video explaining how the production fell apart. It won Video of the Year at the 2017 UK Music Video Awards and the MTV VMA for Best Editing. His portfolio also includes music videos for alt-J and Charli XCX and commercials for brands such as Xbox and Volkswagen.
