Frequently asked questions

What is nu-disco?

Nu-disco is a 2000s-onward revival of 1970s and 80s disco and boogie, filtered through modern house production: warm basslines, live-sounding instrumentation, and a four-on-the-floor pulse aimed at DJs and dancefloors rather than radio. Videojam curates nu-disco music videos and DJ sets in one hub.

How is nu-disco different from classic disco?

Classic disco is the original 1970s genre, built on orchestral arrangements, strings, and radio-ready song structure. Nu-disco is a contemporary, club-facing revival that keeps disco's warmth and groove but strips it down for DJ use, closer in production to house music.

Where can I watch nu-disco music videos and mixes?

This Videojam hub collects curated nu-disco visuals, official videos and DJ sets, playable back-to-back rather than pulled from an algorithm.
