Sara Siadatnejad

Sara Siadatnejad is a filmmaker who wrote, directed and produced My Tree (2007), a six-minute Iranian experimental short. In the film a young artist tries to draw the last thin, dried tree on a seashore, waters it and draws leaves on its branches before a woodcutter cuts it down, while the dream keeps the tree alive. The film was shot in the north of Iran with minimal cost and no special effects, and is described as a winner at the 2009 Ourense International Film Festival in Spain.
