GMS – 30th Anniversary @ Ozora Festival 2024

On Clashfinder's Ozora 2024 timetable, GMS hold the Main Stage on Sunday the 4th from 15:30 to 17:00, after Prometheus and ahead of Pleiadians. The 2024 gathering was the 23rd O.Z.O.R.A. Festival and lasted from 26 July to 6 August. GMS, short for Growling Mad Scientists, is a Dutch psychedelic trance act formed in Amsterdam by Shajahan Matkin, known as Riktam, and Joseph Quinteros, known as Bansi. Riktam began making music with Bansi after coming back to Amsterdam from a trip to India in 1995. Bansi died of blood cancer on 19 June 2018, aged 42, and Riktam is now listed as the act's only current member. GMS set up Spun Records in 1999, left it in 2008 and started Starbox Music in 2009 for the music of their various projects. Tony Scott, the film director, put GMS tracks into Man on Fire, Domino and Unstoppable. GMS twice won the psytrance award at the DJ Awards in Ibiza, in 2001 and in 2009. Festivalticker's Ozora archive also places GMS on the 2012 lineup, and GMS & Dickster on the bill for the 25th edition in 2026.
