SASASAS - Rampage 2017

UKF reports that SASASAS came together in 2014 for a closing show at Area, a London club that has since shut. According to UKF, SASASAS grew out of SAS, a longer-running project of the MCs Skibadee and Shabba D. Mixmag describes Skibadee and Shabba as MCs from the jungle era and Stormin as a former member of the N.A.S.T.Y. crew. Rampage is a drum and bass event in Antwerp, Belgium, that the DJ Murdock started in 2009. Rampage began at the Antwerp club Trix, moved to the Lotto Arena, and now holds its indoor edition at the Sportpaleis. In a 2017 Mixmag feature, Phantasy named Rampage as the point where the fortunes of SASASAS changed. Mixmag reported that the SASASAS appearance at Rampage was followed by more festival slots, bookings abroad and sold-out headline shows. The SASASAS Rampage 2017 recording was posted to the Rampage YouTube channel, WeAreRampageEvents, on 25 February 2017.
