Kobosil | Unpolished 2019 | Warehouse Elementenstraat, Amsterdam

Kobosil was on the Friday programme of Unpolished 2019 at Warehouse Elementenstraat in Amsterdam, a night that opened at eleven on 1 March 2019 and ran until nine the next morning. The Partyflock timetable for Unpolished 2019 places Kobosil in Area 1 from six until half past seven in the morning, after MPIA3 and before Manu Le Malin. The Friday bill of Unpolished 2019 also included Helena Hauff, Héctor Oaks, Parrish Smith, Stranger and a live show from The Empire Line. Resident Advisor's review of Unpolished 2017, the fifth edition at Warehouse Elementenstraat, presented the event as the hard-line techno concept of the promoter Reaktor. Resident Advisor's report on Unpolished 2018 portrayed the Reaktor party as an unfiltered kind of clubbing built on uncompromising music in raw spaces. Max Kobosil, born in the Berlin district of Neukölln in 1991, held a residency at Berghain from December 2014 to 2019. Kobosil started his own label, RK, in June 2013, later renamed it R Label Group, and put out his debut album We Grow, You Decline in 2016. Wikipedia characterises Kobosil's sound as fast and aggressive techno that draws on EBM, noise and industrial music.
