DWSON | Sondela LIVE from Johannesburg 06.12.2025 | Deep House / Afro House Mix

The upload description sends viewers to Nothing To Lose, his latest album. Ashwin Julies, the producer behind the DWSON name, was born in Cape Town. In 2025 he played three shows at Amsterdam Dance Event and was picked for Global Pass 3.0, a Jägermeister programme that puts African artists on international stages. Around ten years earlier he had started Dope Room, a small Cape Town meeting point where producers could play new and unreleased music. Music In Africa dates his first release to 2015 and says he began DJing as a teenager before he studied production at the Soul Candi music school. His Volumo biography lists opening slots for Keinemusik, Kaytranada and Black Coffee.
