Sama' Abdulhadi | Boiler Room: Palestine

Sama' Abdulhadi went back to Ramallah in 2018 to play this set for Boiler Room. Boiler Room had never before streamed a party from Palestine. She played it at sunset in the leafy garden of Radio Bar. She was born in Jordan in 1990 and found techno while studying sound design in Beirut, where she heard Satoshi Tomiie play. She also leads Electrosteen, a project in which Palestinian producers remix traditional songs into hip hop, techno and reggae. The first identified record, at seven and a half minutes, is Enrico Sangiuliano's Hidden T. Around thirty five minutes in she plays Funke by Pan Pot. The last identified track, at fifty five minutes, is No War by Âme. In December 2020 she was detained after a recording at Nabi Musa, which she says had written approval, and was released on bail after eight days.
