Paula Temple @ Katharsis 2019

Paula Temple played the Saturday of Katharsis 2019, an anniversary edition staged by Reaktor at Warehouse Elementenstraat in Amsterdam on 2 and 3 August 2019. The Saturday bill at Katharsis 2019 also named Stanislav Tolkachev, VTSS, Function, Byetone, Acronym and the Dasha Rush and AnD project Attention Deficit Disorder. A preview of Katharsis 2019 in IU Mag called Paula Temple a regular at the Amsterdam event and said her set there would gather her years of earlier appearances into a single performance. Katharsis first took place on 1 August 2015 at Warehouse Elementenstraat in Amsterdam, organised jointly by the techno promoter Reaktor and the Damage Control project of Beukplaten. Born in Manchester, the British techno DJ and producer Paula Temple has been based in Berlin since 2012. Paula Temple issued the Colonized and Deathvox EPs on R&S Records in 2013 and 2014, and in 2015 she set up her own label, Noise Manifesto. Attack Magazine characterised the Reaktor recording of Paula Temple at Katharsis 2019 as a relentless and uncompromising run of pounding techno. The Katharsis 2019 set by Paula Temple was picked by Attack Magazine for its Mixes Of The Week roundup in October 2019.
