Marino Canal Mesmerising DJ Set From The Ruins Of Acinipo

Marino Canal is a Spanish artist who, as he told fabric, was taken on by the IBZ Entertainment management company after sending his tracks to Danny Whittle. Marino Canal had classical piano training, and he told fabric that some of that background carries into his music. In the fabric interview, Marino Canal said he was playing from a laptop that ran four decks together with effects. Marino Canal told fabric that he tries to avoid the familiar pattern of breakdown, build up and drop because it bores him. The Amsterdam Dance Event biography of Marino Canal says his first commercial release won support from Richie Hawtin, Danny Tenaglia, Maceo Plex and Damian Lazarus. Amsterdam Dance Event credits Marino Canal with bookings at the BPM Festival, IMS Ibiza, We Are FSTVL and fabric in London. Acinipo is an ancient Roman town in the Spanish province of Málaga, roughly 20 kilometres from Ronda. Acinipo is thought to have been founded more than two thousand years ago by soldiers retired from the Roman legions. Among the surviving ruins at Acinipo is a Roman theatre that is still used today.
