Latin House Party Mix at a Backyard in NYC | Tinzo

Tinzo and Jojo Lorenzo, who are siblings, co-founded Book Club Radio, a New York party and YouTube channel where both play as resident DJs. Tinzo, who is Queer and Filipino-American, cites indie dance, house and soul as influences and roots the music in LGBTQIA+ life. Book Club Radio began with a friends' group chat, and its first party took place in Jojo Lorenzo's living room on a $300 controller run through home theater speakers. Over the summer that followed the first party, the founders staged invite-only parties in the basements of friends and filmed every one. The founders also wrote a librarian's manifesto, a response to nights out spent among phones, meant to return the floor to dancing. In an interview published in January 2024, Jojo Lorenzo said Book Club Radio would reach its first anniversary that February. The mix opens on Cada Vez by Negrocan, heard in a Jerry Ropero remix. About an hour and fourteen minutes in, a remix of Asereje by Las Ketchup and Mestiza comes in. The final track, starting at around 1:18:37, is Sunchyme by Dario G.
