Avicii - BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix (2010/12/11)

Avicii was the Swedish producer Tim Bergling, born in Stockholm on 8 September 1989. In April 2010 Bergling released Bromance under the alias Tim Berg, through the Swedish independent dance label Joia Records. We Rave You describes the 2010 broadcast as Avicii's first ever guest mix for BBC Radio 1's mix programme and says it was recorded in November 2010. MixesDB dates the Avicii broadcast to 11 December 2010, lists it at roughly two hours and files it under progressive house. Avicii opens his 2010 Radio 1 mix with Jailbait vs. Insomnia, his own mashup with Faithless. An early version of Levels appears about 35 minutes into the 2010 Avicii mix. Avicii closes his 2010 Radio 1 mix with Tweet It vs. Walking On A Dream, his mashup with Empire Of The Sun. We Rave You notes that the 2010 Avicii mix previewed early versions of Levels and Fade Into Darkness, which later became chart singles. Levels was released in October 2011 and carried Bergling into the mainstream.
