Underground Resistance - Funkhaus Berlin 2018 (Live) - ARTE Concert

Underground Resistance played a live set at 00:30 on the Werkstatt stage at Funkhaus Berlin during 30 Jahre Techno, the ARTE broadcast from the Red Bull Music Festival Berlin in September 2018. ARTE carried the 30 Jahre Techno night live from 8pm to 9:30am, a 13 hour programme split across two stages at Funkhaus Berlin. On the Werkstatt stage at the ARTE 30 Jahre Techno broadcast, the Underground Resistance live slot was followed by Westbam and then Nina Kraviz. The Detroit collective Underground Resistance was formed in 1989 by Mike Banks and Jeff Mills. Jeff Mills and Robert Hood left Underground Resistance in 1992, and Mike Banks carried on leading the collective. Underground Resistance put out its first record itself, which set its pattern of independent releases. Underground Resistance used its record Message to the Majors to oppose the music industry and the commercialisation of techno. Interstellar Fugitives, released in 1998, was the first album issued under the Underground Resistance name. The Underground Resistance name also applies to live line-ups drawn from members of the collective.
