Solar Mix 17 #tanzania #zanzibar #afrohouse #melodictechno #volcan #lighthouse #massai

Solar Mix 17 belongs to a series of DJ sets that Dj Click powers entirely from the sun and records in unusual places outdoors. This edition was shot in Tanzania: the title tags Tanzania and Zanzibar, and the description thanks helpers in Dar es Salaam, Arusha and Makunduchi, among them a lighthouse keeper. Laurent Wallon directed the film with Dj Click and also shot and edited it, and the upload went online in November 2023. The thanks also go to the singer Léo Mkanyia and his Swahili blues band. The No Fridge label presents the Solar Mix as treating nature as its audience in the spirit of land art, with each set made for a place such as a forest, a mountain or a volcano. No Fridge was founded in Paris in 2000 with an editorial line set by Dj Click, blending jazz, world music and electronic sounds. Pohoda Festival credits him with remixes for Manu Chao and Warsaw Village Band and with collaborations alongside Rona Hartner.
