Michael Bibi - Summer Sessions 2018

Michael Bibi's Summer Sessions 2018 set was published by the channel uspace on 23 February 2019. Michael Bibi and PAWSA, who first met in 2013, launched the Solid Grooves record label together in 2015. Mixmag reports that Michael Bibi made Hanging Tree in the summer of 2018, using a vocal sample he had noticed during a cinema screening of The Hunger Games. According to Mixmag, Michael Bibi played Hanging Tree at Egg London on the same night he finished it, and the record spread online almost at once. Cloonee's The Ciggie, a Solid Grooves release, enters Michael Bibi's Summer Sessions 2018 set about twenty two minutes in. Michael Bibi drops his own Got The Fire about thirty five minutes into the Summer Sessions 2018 set. Michael Bibi plays his own Hanging Tree about forty four minutes into the Summer Sessions 2018 set. Mixmag credits the viral spread of Hanging Tree with setting off Michael Bibi's rise to superstar DJ status, a run that included a tech house DJ win at the 2019 DJ Awards.
