3ballMTY | Boiler Room SYSTEM: Mexico City

3ballMTY played the Saturday session of Boiler Room in Mexico City on 16 November 2024, a night scheduled from ten in the evening until four the next morning. Boiler Room presented the 3ballMTY slot in Mexico City as a reunion of the group it regards as leaders of Mexican tribal music. Alongside 3ballMTY, the Mexico City Saturday of Boiler Room SYSTEM in November 2024 featured Bladee and a debut back to back pairing of Toccororo and Surusinghe. Metal Magazine listed FKA Phaedra and a live act by Yeyo on the same Saturday as 3ballMTY during the Boiler Room World Tour stop in Mexico City. 3ballMTY formed in Monterrey in 2009 when three local DJs, Sergio Zavala, Alberto Presenda and Erick Rincón, joined forces as a collective. Toy Selectah, once the DJ of Control Machete, found the music of 3ballMTY on a CD from a flea market and later recorded the trio's first EP. The 3ballMTY single Inténtalo reached the top of Billboard's Latin Songs chart and held that position for two weeks that were not consecutive.
