Kenny Dope - Live from Studio 338, London
Kenny Dope
In December 2017 Defected announced it would take over all three main rooms of Studio 338 on the Greenwich Peninsula for parties in 2018. Studio 338's all-weather Terrace room has a glass roof, a Void sound system and a rubberised dancefloor. A fire at Studio 338 in August 2016 left one staff member dead at the north Greenwich club. Studio 338 began returning about ten months after the 2016 fire, starting with daytime parties in a new Garden area in June 2017. Kenny Dope revived his Dopewax label in 2000 after a ten-year gap, having first run it as an offshoot of Nu Groove. Kenny Dope and Keb Darge founded the Kay-Dee label around 2000, whose roster includes Manzel and Brass Construction.
