Godfathers Of Uwuaracha | Latincore, Guaracha, Perreo | Madrid | Keep Hush Live

For this Keep Hush set, CRRDR and Aleroj played back to back under their shared alias, Godfathers Of Uwuaracha. Seb Wheeler featured the set in the DJ mixes section of his July round-up for Tropical Waste's Waste Mail newsletter, published on 8 August 2024. Wheeler introduced the pair as two Colombian DJs who style themselves the Latincore Kings. He likened the frenetic set to a Bangface party transplanted to Bogotá. The Godfathers Of Uwuaracha concept started with a record that Aleroj and CRRDR released on their label Muakk on 31 March 2023, the first time the two had worked together on a release. Muakk described the record as fast guaracha and club tools tied to a concept in which the pair cast themselves as the godfathers of the style. Wheeler framed their joint album as a fresh strain of turbo dance music, colliding Colombian guaracha with brightly coloured rave sounds.
