Dax J Closing Set @ Awakenings Festival 25th Anniversary 2022

Dax J appeared on the programme of Awakenings Easter Festival 2022, staged on 16 and 17 April 2022 at Velsen Valley in the Spaarnwoude recreation area of the Netherlands. JamBase places Dax J on the Sunday 17 April 2022 bill of Awakenings Easter 2022, alongside Amelie Lens, I Hate Models, Rebekah, Jeff Mills and Ben Klock. Awakenings traces its origins to the Westergasfabriek gasholder in Amsterdam's Westerpark, which hosted the first edition on 30 March 1997. Dax J is a DJ and producer born in London and based in Berlin, and he set up his own label Monnom Black in 2013. According to his Amsterdam Dance Event profile, Dax J began playing on pirate radio at fifteen, came up on jungle and drum and bass, and found techno during a summer in Ibiza. Dax J has released music on labels including Soma and Mindtrip and has played at Berghain, Glastonbury and Dommune in Japan. In January 2018 Mixmag reported that Dax J would issue Offending Public Morality on Monnom Black on 6 April, as the follow up to his 2015 debut album Shades of Black. Awakenings Easter Festival 2022 in Spaarnwoude was staged as the anniversary edition marking twenty five years of Awakenings, with six tent stages and one partly open air stage.
