Durban duo Kususa thundering afro house session in The Lab Johannesburg

Kususa played The Lab Johannesburg on Wednesday 17 July 2019, a new destination for the Mixmag Lab series run in partnership with BUDX. Mixmag scheduled the Kususa set to stream on its Facebook page on 18 July 2019, with the Soweto deep house DJ FKA Mash following on 22 July. The Kususa name merges the members' two stage names with a Shona word that roughly means to start over. Kusuka Sukela, the 2017 debut EP from Kususa, was released by the UK label DM Recordings. A Kususa remix of Traveller by Lizwi and DeMajor featured in Black Coffee's Ibiza 17 Appreciation Mix. Lora by Mòo & Jo featuring Lana opens our tracklist for the Kususa session, about one minute in. Kunye, a Shimza track featuring Kususa, arrives about 34 minutes into the Lab Johannesburg set. Incwadi Encane by Kususa and Argento Dust comes in about 44 and a half minutes into the session. The last listed track in our Kususa tracklist is Amabutho, made with DJ Merlon and De Cave Man, at about one hour and 19 minutes.
