Disclosure | Boiler Room: Streaming From Isolation | #13

Boiler Room

In April 2020, Guy Lawrence of Disclosure broadcast a live set from his own living room as part of Boiler Room's Streaming From Isolation series. Boiler Room began Streaming From Isolation in March 2020, with artists broadcasting from home without production crews. Boiler Room's Streaming From Isolation broadcasts raised money for the Global FoodBanking Network. Disclosure is an English electronic duo made up of the brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence, who were raised in Reigate in Surrey. In February 2020 Disclosure released Ecstasy, a five track EP built on samples from Eko Roosevelt and Boz Scaggs. Guy Lawrence's Boiler Room isolation set runs for around ninety minutes, opening on ambient material before easing into the house groove that Disclosure is known for. About twenty eight minutes into the Disclosure Streaming From Isolation set, Disclosure's own Ecstasy comes in. Roughly thirty three minutes into the Disclosure Streaming From Isolation set, Disclosure and Fatoumata Diawara's Douha 'Mali Mali' is played while still unreleased. Fifty eight minutes into the Disclosure Streaming From Isolation set comes an unreleased Disclosure remix of Modern Soul by James Blake. Douha (Mali Mali), the collaboration with Fatoumata Diawara, later appeared on Disclosure's third album Energy, which Island Records released on 28 August 2020.
