Nu-disco is a 21st century dance genre built on renewed interest in late 1970s disco.^[1] It also draws on synthesizer heavy 1980s European dance styles and early 1990s electronic dance music.^[2] In keeping with disco tradition, many nu-disco records are still driven by guitar or bass licks.^[3]
