Notion - UKF On Air x Notion (DJ Set)

The DJ set titled UKF On Air x Notion was published on 7 December 2018. UKF presents its UKF On Air series as filmed DJ performances from festival stages and remote locations around the world, and the series index on ukf.com includes a Notion DJ set. Notion is the alias of Rob Penny, a DJ and producer who grew up in the West Midlands countryside and later lived in Bristol before moving to London. In his early years behind the decks Rob Penny, known as Notion, stuck almost entirely to drum and bass, with first bookings coming through a friend's nights at The Jailhouse in Hereford, where he attended college. Dave Jenkins's UKF profile of Notion names White Peach, 877, Four40 and Crucast among the labels carrying his records, along with N Music, the label Notion started in 2017. The UKF profile Who The Hell Is Notion? credits the Bristol based Notion with three UKF appearances plus a UKF On Air set alongside Holy Goof and friends. A 2026 Mixmag feature on Notion traces the attention that followed his remix of The Days by Chrystal, which he made soon after the original surfaced in 2024. Notion holds a show on Rinse FM devoted to underground club music running from garage through to jungle, including a 2024 broadcast recorded live at Love Saves The Day. On his Rinse FM profile, Notion lists UKG and bassline first among the styles he produces and plays, alongside house and 140 and on up to jungle.
